Top 5 Art and Design Apps in South America Q3 2021

In the third quarter of 2021, the top art and design applications in South America showed varied performance trends in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at the data provided by Sensor Tower.

Canva: Design, Art & AI Editor saw a consistent increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $198K in the last week of September. Weekly downloads fluctuated but closed the quarter strong with around 468K in the final week. Active users also grew, starting at 6.4M in late June and reaching over 6.5M by the end of September.

ibis Paint X had relatively stable revenue, with a notable peak of around $892 in early September. Weekly downloads saw a slight decline from 195K at the beginning of the quarter to 161K at the end. Active users, however, increased from approximately 2.3M in late June to 2.4M by the end of September.

Sketchbook experienced modest revenue gains, peaking at $190 in the last week of September. Downloads increased significantly towards the end of the quarter, jumping from 40K in late June to 58K by the end of September. Active users hovered around 300K throughout the quarter with a slight increase to 318K in the final week.

Invitation maker & Card Design showed steady revenue growth, reaching $783 in the last week of September. Downloads fluctuated but ended the quarter on a high note with 47K. Active users also increased, starting at about 83K in late June and rising to 94K by the end of September.

FlipaClip: Create 2D Animation had stable revenue, peaking at $785 in the final week. Downloads saw a significant rise towards the end of the quarter, from 49K in late June to 63K by the end of September. Active users grew from 84K at the start of the quarter to over 120K by the end.
